Overview

After its appearance in mid-1943, the Panther was one of the mainstays of German armour through to the end of WWII. The late production Ausf.G variant, introduced in the second half of 1944, incorporated a number of improvements for survivability, including an altered gun shield to eliminate shot traps. The Panther achieved a remarkable balance of mobility, firepower, and survivability that made it a giant among WWII armour.

This 1/35 scale kit from Tamiya is a highly accurate recreation of a late production Panther Ausf.G. The model features realistic cast metal surface textures and includes all the specific late-war features such as the reinforced gun shield and updated engine deck intakes.
