This top-mounted dual-channel PCIe M.2 HAT+ is designed for Raspberry Pi 5, supporting two NVMe M.2 SSDs in 2230, 2242, 2260, and 2280 sizes. It connects via the Pi 5’s PCIe interface using a 16-pin cable, and supports PCIe x1 Gen2 mode.
The adapter enables significantly faster read/write speeds compared to the Raspberry Pi’s MicroSD card slot and supports booting directly from SSD. It includes onboard power monitoring and EEPROM, allowing real-time monitoring of SSD power status for improved stability. Onboard status LEDs indicate power and activity.
The board comes with standoffs, fixings and a 40mm PCIe flex cable. Compatible only with NVMe protocol drives and is intended for use with the Raspberry Pi 5 only.
Raspberry Pi and SSDs not included.
