Chanel Reissue 2.55 Classic 227 Flap Bag

The Chanel Reissue Bag is a true French classic, re-released in 2005, having been initially designed by Coco Chanel herself in 1955. This is the bag from which the Classic Flap was born, and was indeed the first handbag to be carried by upper class woman on their shoulders. The supple aged calfskin leather adds a luxurious touch, while the shiny silver tone hardware completes the glamorous look. A dreamy and classic closet staple, the Reissue is truly a timeless piece.

Features: Silver with light olive undertone metallic aged calfskin leather exterior; silver tone hardware; chain sliding strap which can be worn as a single strap or doubled over; rear exterior slip pocket; signature mademoiselle turn-lock with flap opening; interior zip pocket within top flap; slip pocket between first and second flap; second flap with snap dome closure; concealed front slip pocket under second flap; grey lambskin leather lined main compartment with 3 x slip pockets.

Measurements: 31 cm (length) x 19 cm (height) x 10 cm (width) x 29/51 cm (handle drop).

Condition: Great condition. The leather exterior has a deliberately aged appearance and is in great condition with slight softening to the sides, moderate rubbing and areas of fading throughout and light creasing. The hardware, including chain shoulder strap, is in excellent condition with faint surface scratches and tiny indents, mainly to the front turn lock. There is light wear to the top of the inner flap from contact with the hardware. The interior is in great condition with light rubbing to the top and inner flap edges, and a loose stitch on the right of the interior which secures all the way through both flaps.
