The DAC2 Unit is a digital-to-analogue conversion module that operates over an I2C interface, using the GP8413 solution to produce high precision and accuracy. This chip can linearly convert a 15-bit digital input into two independent analogue voltages ranging from 0-5V or 0-10V, with an output voltage error of only 0.2% and linearity up to 0.01%.
It includes a 3-bit hardware address, enabling the connection and simultaneous operation of up to eight devices, enhancing its scalability. Additionally, it features output short-circuit protection; it automatically transitions into protection mode when a short circuit occurs between the output pins and ground, preventing damage by halting the output.
Features
- I2C communication (default address 0x59)
- Supports multiple parallel connections
