After his terrible defeat on the lava planet of Mustafar, Anakin Skywalker found himself in dire straits. His new master, wishing to both preserve and punish his new apprentice, granted Skywalker new limbs and a constrictive outfit. This, combined with his newfound hatred for the Jedi who defeated him, caused Anakin Skywalker to fully embrace the identity of Darth Vader!
