RS485 to RJ45 Industrial Serial Server – Common Ethernet Port (C)

The RS-485 to RJ45 Industrial Serial Server (C) provides transparent RS-485 to Ethernet transmission with support for Modbus, MQTT, JSON, and more. It features isolated RS-485 and power, 6–36V screw terminal input, surge-protected Ethernet, and compact rail-mount housing.

This is an RS-485 device data acquisitor / IoT gateway from Waveshare, designed for industrial environments, offering bi-directional transparent data transmission between RS-485 and Ethernet. It combines multiple functions in one, including serial server, Modbus gateway support, MQTT gateway support, RS-485 to JSON and more.

The module features an RS-485 and an Ethernet port, and uses screw terminals for power input. It has a rail-mount case design, is small in size and easy to install.

This is the ‘C’ version, which accepts a 6-36V power supply and comes with power isolation and signal isolation protection. Power supply not included.
