The Shelly 2L Gen3 is a compact dual-channel smart relay designed for lighting control in installations without a neutral wire. It operates on 220–240V AC power and requires the included Shelly Bypass 1L/2L connected in parallel to the load for proper functionality in no-neutral setups.
The device supports Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, allowing for remote control via the Shelly app or integration with home automation systems such as Home Assistant. As it’s a Gen3 device, it can also be used as a Bluetooth gateway for Shelly BLU devices.
It is compatible with various smart home protocols, including MQTT, WebSocket, and Matter (via firmware update). The Shelly 2L Gen3 features an internal temperature sensor for overheating protection and is designed to fit into most standard electrical wall boxes or behind switches (please check dimensions before purchasing, as back/wall boxes vary in depth).
Different types of actions, scenarios, and schedules can be set to sync your environment to your daily activities or business needs, via the Shelly smart home ecosystem, including the Shelly Smart Control app – or link it with a popular home automation software such as Home Assistant via a Raspberry Pi!
Please research the device and your home wiring (safely, see below) before purchasing.
