The Shelly 1 Gen3 is a small form factor WiFi 16A smart switch with potential-free (dry) contacts, which allows remote control of electric appliances through a mobile phone, tablet, PC, or home automation system. It can work standalone in a local Wi-Fi network or it can also be operated through cloud home automation services.

Its versatility makes it suitable for a wide range of automation projects.
Shelly 1 Gen3 can be accessed, controlled and monitored remotely from any place where the User has internet connectivity, as long as the device is connected to a Wi-Fi router and the Internet. It can be retrofitted into some standard electrical wall boxes, behind power sockets and light switches or in other places with limited space.
The unit has an embedded web interface which can be used to monitor and control the device, as well as adjust its settings. Automation of lights, garage doors, irrigation systems, bathroom fans, any old electrical appliances… you name it! Shelly Plus 1 has numerous applications providing enhanced smart home control.
Different types of actions, scenarios, and schedules can be set to sync your environment to your daily activities or business needs, via the Shelly smart home ecosystem, including the Shelly Smart Control app – or link it with a popular home automation software such as Home Assistant via a Raspberry Pi!

- Use the device only with a power grid and appliances which comply with all applicable regulations. Short circuit in the power grid or any appliance connected to the device may damage the device.
- Before starting, wire check that the breakers are turned off and there is no voltage on their terminals. This can be done with a phase meter or multimeter. When you are sure that there is no voltage, you can start wiring the cables.
