The SupTronics X1009 5-Port SATA Add-on for Raspberry Pi 5 connects up to five SATA drives via PCIe at 5Gbps. Powered through a 12V DC jack with onboard converters, it powers both the Pi and drives from one source.
The SupTronics X1009 5-Port SATA Add-on is designed to offer a high-capacity and high-speed storage solution for your Raspberry Pi 5. This board supports the simultaneous connection of 5 large-capacity SATA storage devices, with the SATA 3.0 interface reaching speeds of up to 5Gbps via PCIe.
The X1009 features a 12V input via a standard DC jack (power supply not included) and is equipped with high-efficiency DC/DC step-down converters to power both your Raspberry Pi 5 and PCIe devices concurrently, simplifying the power supply to a single source. Do not power your Pi 5 via USB-C at the same time as the barrel jack!
Ideal for creating a home media centre or setting up a network-attached storage (NAS) system.
Please read the specifications – you’re going to need a beefy 12V PSU to power five drives at once (up to 11A!).
HDDs, Raspberry Pi, Active Cooler and power supply not included.
