Zooz 800-Series Z-Wave GPIO Module

This small GPIO board connects your Raspberry Pi to Z-Wave-certified devices. It’s a GPIO Z-Wave gateway for your Raspberry Pi running Home Assistant (with the Z-Wave integration) or other compatible home automation software.

The module allows you to include Z-Wave technology in your setup quickly and in the most compact way for Raspberry Pi users, allowing you to create a Z-Wave network to add up to 200 other Z-Wave devices for your home automation/smart home system.

This Zooz ZAC93 GPIO Z-Wave gateway is equipped with the latest 800-series chip for more signal coverage and improved performance, and runs the UK/EU 868.42 MHz frequency (no Z-Wave Long Range, as this is only currently available in the USA).

Get more out of your automation system thanks to the authenticated S2 security and SmartStart features that offer a protective layer to your set-up.

How it works

This module mounts directly to the GPIO pins of your Raspberry Pi or Home Assistant Yellow. You’ll also need a home automation software of your choice to access the user interface of your smart home (Home Assistant is our go-to).

With Z-Wave, you have the power to manage and program scenes or automation for up to 200 devices in a single network. Keep it all local and private or add remote access for cloud connectivity if needed.
